Hello all, a friend of mine who works for National Geographic among other publications is looking to do a feature on amateur meteorologists. He is particularly interested in those who still keep the standard screen and instruments and, possibly, anyone who still launches their own weather balloons.
I think he's looking for those who do it for the sheer love of meteorology. When asked why he reads his intruments at 9am every morning Bill Foggitt once said that it was the one thing that 'got him out of bed every morning'.
