May warmth

Temperature climbed to 23.4°C today here on the south Devon coast in a brisk easterly wind.

I can't help feeling we don't get high temperatures in May these days.
I remember 27.4°C on 3rd May 1990.

Saw the warmest day of the year on the 27th, with the screen maximum reaching 26·5c.
