Well and truly soggy out there. Normally the end of February and early March represent the start of the 'drying out' after the winter but spring seems to have decided to take a break and it just keeps on raining and raining. And no end insight!
March 1st - 11th
Mean minimum = 1.7°C
Mean maximum = 8.5°C
Mean = 5.1°C
Rain = 71.4 mm
Sunshine = 30.2 hours
And not only has it been very, very wet, it has also been very cold and rather cloudy too.
Normally March averages around 146 hours in total, so well down on that. Not surprising given all the rain.
It can only get better!!

Re: Soggy March
Same here Nick.
1st to 11th March
Rain 80.2 mm (My 30yr average for March is 91.3 mm)
Mean max 8.1°C
Mean min 2.5°C
I'm fed up with squelching around my garden
and coastal paths are mostly mud baths.

Re: Soggy March
Monthly total (1st - 16th) now up to 114 mm Len. That is pretty extreme for here and exceptional for March which is normally part of the seasonal 'drying out' time of year.
And to make matters worse, it is snowing again! Third day this month with snow falling though this time it is not settling.
The temperature has been going in-reverse today with it slowly getting colder through the morning from the tropical heights of 8°C earlier on, now (at 12:20) down to 2°C.

Re: Soggy March
Seems the sogginess carries on into April.
10.6mm on the 1st
5.2mm in the 2nd
April 2017 had only 6.6mm in the entire month!
At least I shan't have to water the garden for a while...
