Are summers becoming wetter?

An opportunity to discuss climatic change. Particularly welcome might be contributions from members who have long term records and can offer data for their specific location, whilst qualifying these with respect to changes to their site and local environment.

Looking at the last 17 years for Wembury, one would be inclined to think summers were becoming wetter.

That seems to tie in with this graphic on the Met Office site .... England only .... also (not shown) it is reflected in the EWP series since at least 1970:
